CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO VIA PANORAMICA Vol. 15 N.º 2 WINTER ISSUE 2026

IRIDESCENT IDENTITIES: Queer representations in Anglo-American Studies

VIA PANORAMICA is accepting contributions for its thematic and varia sections, reviews and translations for our 2026 winter issue!

THEMATIC SECTION

The UK and the US are passing legislation that is actively stripping trans people of their rights; several US states are banning queer books from public and school libraries; queer history is being erased in front of our eyes, with the US National Park Service modifying the Stonewall National Monument website resulting in the removal of references of transgender and queerness, for instance. Having in mind the present political climate, bringing queerness in all its forms (gender, sexual identity, alternative family units, non-monogamy, communal living and care, cultural and historical preservation of queerness) to the forefront of our research is of paramount importance. Anti-LGBTQ+ and anti-feminist discourse and legislation force us to reflect upon forms of resistance to protect human rights and find hope in community building, in literature and the arts.

VIA PANORAMICA’s team invites junior and senior researchers to submit articles and reviews for publication in our Winter Issue 2026 that reflect such concerns and propose constructive and peaceful strategies to stand for free and safe self-expression.

We also invite artists to submit proposals that represent this subject matter through the arts in all their splendour (e.g.: poetry, photography, short fiction, visual arts, etc.).

VARIA SECTION

Besides our thematic section, VIA PANORAMICA also invites submissions on topics, authors and works within Anglo-American Studies that fall into the journal’s global scope for our “Varia” section.

REVIEWS

VIA PANORAMICA is accepting submissions of academic reviews on relevant and recent publications within Anglo-American Studies. For this issue, we are especially interested in reviews of publications within science fiction studies (both fiction and non-fiction).

We also invite the submission of literary translations (prose and poetry) within AngloAmerican Studies.
