Pedro Matos Lopes is an English as a foreign language teacher at a public school in Portugal and a teacher trainer in the fields of English and Citizenship education. He has also taught English and German languages to adults at CLiC – Centro de Línguas e Culturas, of the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre.
Currently, he is involved in the Schools as Learning Communities project (DGE/TEIP schools) as trainer and local project coordinator. 
He has recently initiated a PhD in Didactics of Languages – Multilingualism and Education for Global Citizenship at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Universidade Aberta. His areas of interest are inclusive dialogic learning and intercultural citizenship.
