Jéssica Bispo

Jéssica Iolanda Costa Bispo is currently enrolled in a PhD program in Modern Literatures and Cultures at NOVA-FCSH and is conducting research on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass and its video game reinterpretations. She holds a Master’s Degree in Modern Literatures and Cultures (English and North American Studies) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Languages, Literatures and Cultures (English and North American Studies). Her research is primarily focused on Video Game Studies, British and Irish Literature and Dystopian Literature, areas on which she has published and presented papers both nationally and internationally. She collaborates with CETAPS, being part of the Junior Researchers in Anglo-American Studies team and the Research Strand “Culture, Science and the Media” (of the Research Area “Anglophone Cultures and History”). She is also a member of APEAA (Portuguese Association for Anglo-American Studies), ESSE (European Society for the Study of English), EAAS (European Association of American Studies) and the Utopian Studies Society.
