Donzília Martins Soares Oguttu

Donzilia Martins Soares Oguttu is a candidate for the PhD in Language Teaching- Multilingualism and Education for a Global Citizenship at Nova University of Lisbon. She specializes in teaching English as a second/foreign language, and her current research focuses on in-service teacher training. She holds two Master’s degrees in Education, one focusing on teaching English as a Foreign Language, and a second one focusing on Educational Leadership, both from Bridgewater State University, USA. She is also a Certified Instructor of English to Speakers of other Languages-TESOL by the same university. She holds a BA in Language, Literature and Culture – English Language Teaching from the University of Cabo Verde. Donzilia has worked as a language instructor, special education teacher and academic advisor in the USA. She is currently a university professor in her home country-Cabo Verde, and her work centers on teaching English as a foreign language and related subjects, as well as pre-service English teacher education. Her areas of interest include in-service and pre-service English teacher education, curriculum development and implementation.
