Margarida Coelho, MA in English Language and Culture (University of Lisbon), is currently a PhD researcher at the University of Extremadura, Spain.

She is an associate professor at the School of Technology and Business Studies (ESTG) of the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (IPP), where she teaches Business English and Technical English. She is a member of the Technical-Scientific Board of ESTG, a member of the Group for “Internationalization and Interinstitutional Collaboration with the Community” (ICIC), at IPP and the representative of IPP to the Executive Committee of the Portuguese Language Centres Association (ReCLes.pt).

Coordinator of the Languages and Culture Centre (CLiC) of the Institute from 2010 to 2015, she has been extensively involved in the promotion of language(s) learning among the students of the Institute and in the community and she has participated in the organization of a number of Erasmus Intensive Programmes at IPP. 

Researcher in C3i – Interdisciplinary Coordination Center for Research and Innovation at IPP; collaborator in the CLIL research team of ReCLes.pt, she is developing her research  in the areas of English language teaching & methodologies, particularly CLIL at tertiary level.
