Marta Azevedo

Marta Azevedo is a fourth year PhD student at the University of Porto, where she completed her MA in Translation Studies in 2010 with a translation of a novel by John Banville. For her PhD dissertation she will continue to examine the challenges involved in translating the self-consciously intertextual novels of Irish writer John Banville into Portuguese. She has participated in conferences organized by the Relational Forms: Intertextual and Inter-Arts Dynamics in the Cultures of Ireland and Britainresearch group with papers on contemporary Irish novelists
