Ana Leão

Ana Leão currently works as an invited assistant professor at the Linguistics Department of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Nova University of Lisbon. She lectures intercultural communication in the Portuguese and Management under-graduate course at Nova University. She also has experience as a foreign language teacher, translator, and interpreter in Iceland, Portugal, and Spain. She has a doctorate in Didactics of Foreign Language Teaching – Multilingualism and Education for Global Citizenship. She is interested in the areas of intercultural citizenship education, culture of  democracy, and CLIL. She is also a member of TEALS – CETAPS. She was a member of the coordinating team of CANDIICE, a European Erasmus+ innovation and research project for citizenship educators. She was awarded a CETAPS and FCT research grant in 2020.
