Cândida Neves Couto

Candida Neves Couto holds an MA in English Language Teaching from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Nova University of Lisbon, with a dissertation titled ‘Building Understandings of Alterity Through Tech-based Intercultural Projects’. In addition, she has a degree in Modern Languages and Literature (Portuguese/English) from the Faculty of Letters, University of Porto. 
In secondary schools, she has held positions such as Grade Level Coordinator, School Project Coordinator (Turma Positiva +, CLIL, Bilingual Teaching), International Project Coordinator (Erasmus+ KA1/KA2), and Cambridge Certification Centre Coordinator. 
She is also a teacher trainer, having taught courses at Gaia Nascente Training Centre on ‘A 21st-century approach for EFL teachers: technology in the classroom,’ ‘Technology in EFL classroom,’ ‘International intercultural projects with technology,’ and ‘Learning about, through, and for democracy,’ in collaboration with PhD Ana Matos and PhD Ana Leão at Luís Kruz Training Centre, Nova University of Lisbon.
She has previously participated as a speaker at the APPI – Portuguese Association for English Teachers and TEFL – Teaching English as a Foreign Language congresses. 
She is a member of CETAPS (Centre for English, Translation, and Anglo-Portuguese Studies) and the author of language learning course books and resource books.
