International Graduate Programmes at CETAPS
  • The Erasmus Mundus Masters programme Crossways in Cultural Narratives (CWCN) is the continuation of two former Erasmus Mundus programmes Crossways in European Humanities (2005-2011) and Crossways in Cultural Narratives (2012-2018). CETAPS participates in this unique MA since the beginning.
  • NEW FACES, “Facing Europe in Crisis: Shakespeare’s World and Present Challenges”, is a European Strategic Partnership that aims to promote historical and literary understanding of the complexities of crises (cultural, linguistic, political, social, religious, and economic), to help face a complex contemporary European context.
  • MOVES – Migration and Modernity: Historical and Cultural Challenges – is a European Joint Doctorate (EJD) funded by the European Union. This doctoral programme is defined by a unique collaboration between university researchers in the Humanities and Social Sciences and partners across sectors (NGOs, charities working with migrants and cultural and creative industries) in five EU countries.

TEALS networking:

  • CETAPS/FCSH is now an Associate Partner of ITELab (Initial Teacher Education Lab), co-ordinated by European Schoolnet, a Knowledge Alliance project between higher education institutions and industry to foster innovation and knowledge exchange in ITE. It is co-funded under the Erasmus+ Programme till 2019.

Founded in 2006, the Gutenberg Academy brings up to 25 of the university’s best doctoral students and artists (junior members) together and provides them with the chance to participate in an interdisciplinary exchange of ideas at the highest intellectual level. These students have the possibility to interact and exchange with excellent researchers and artists of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) (senior members.) The Gutenberg Academy supports JGU’s best young researchers and young artists in the development of their professional careers in the arts and sciences. The Academy’s central focus is on the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas, individual development and networking.
