Dora Maria Nunes Gago holds a PhD in Romances Comparative Literatures (FCSH, New University of Lisbon, 2007). Since 2012 she is Assistant Professor of Literature at the Department of Portuguese at the University of Macau. She was a post-doctoral researcher (with a grant from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology) at the University of Aveiro. She was Lecturer of the Camoes Institute at the University of the Oriental Republic of Urugay (Montevideo, Uruguay), and visiting post-doc at the University of Massachussetts (Amherst, USA). She has published books and also several articles, essays, poems and short stories in Portuguese anthologies, books, magazines, academic journals and newspapers.
