Ana Brígida Paiva is a Ph.D. student of Modern Literatures and Cultures at NOVA University of Lisbon, as well as a recipient of a CETAPS Ph.D. grant funded by FCT. Her research focuses predominantly on the representations of Macau and Hong Kong in Portuguese and British children’s literature of the 20th and 21st centuries. She completed her Master’s degree in Translation Studies at NOVA University of Lisbon with a dissertation on the Portuguese translations of Roald Dahl’s children’s books, under the supervision of Professor Gabriela Gândara Terenas and Professor Maria Zulmira Castanheira. Ana Brígida is also a translator, copywriter, and language trainer.
